This scene is facing south from Pismo Beach Dinosaur Caves Park, but transposed to appear as if facing North. This is a studio painting from photo reference that I took at the end of a plein air session at the park. The wind brings a lot of drama to the ocean and teases the edges of the clouds, giving sharp clear edges in places, and drawn out whisps in others.
