This plein air piece was painted along the shore of Lake Lacamas in Washington on a breezy day that left the lake water purplish and green. It was fun and fascinating to paint, trying to keep up with where the surface smoothed out and reflected the trees behind, and where the wind chopped into dark purples.
Painted on location and fine tuned in the studio.
